Music Scholarship Program:
Funding for Low-Income

-
Sometimes paying $100/mo in tuition so that your child can take music lessons and have future in a skill that will enhance and enrich their life is unrealistic for your budget and beyond saddening to see that dream slip away from them when you are doing everything you can to try and make it happen. I can empathize deeply because I’ve been there when my son was young and I was a single mother working 2 jobs and still not making enough to pay for a just 2 bedroom apartment.
-
There were so many angels in my community that either individually helped me or came together as whole to assist in my time of need, and I promised that I would pay that forward. I made a promise to myself that I would pay that kindness forward then and continue to for the rest of my life. I let this scholarship program lapse for a few years, so I’m doubling up!
-
With that being said, for at least the next 2 years, (potentially more) I will be offering not one, but TWO students free tuition for 6 months at a time, and then I will rotate to a different student, and we will just keep it going for as long as my doors are open.
-
February 1st - the program will start officially: meaning that is when the 1st free lesson will begin
-
Scholarship applications will be available on my website under the scholarship tab starting January 1st
-
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Applicant must be ages 10-17 to apply and be in a tough financial position
-
Applicant must be a current student since I won't have a spot on my schedule for a new student and I currently have a waiting list
-
I really want to offer this to a family in need that can’t afford to pay for lessons, so if you feel like these various aspects fit your current situation, I sincerely encourage you to apply
-
Absolutely EVERYTHING from the application down to the student project or essay and the state of being on the program is completely 100% CONFIDENTIAL
-
Thank you so much for being a part of my journey in Artesia and for supporting this program.
-
I would like to also open donations to the scholarship fund where 100% of the proceeds go to the families on the scholarship program. This would pay for the student’s supplies, music books, instrument, and any other music needs the student may have. For additional questions on this, please call or text me at: 385-338-1265
